Rompin' Around

It's 58 degrees here today which has me in a Spring state of mind.  Speaking of Spring, does anyone else love the romper/jumpsuit trend as much as I do?!  I seriously can't get enough.  They are comfortable and easy to throw on and go.  I don't think you can go wrong.  I love all the variations as well besides pants vs. shorts there are ultra dressy, very casual and everywhere in between.  I personally own two rompers and two jumpsuits and I may have a few others on my wish list.  One of something is never enough.  Don't judge :)

Back to Blogger

Hey ya'll!  It's been awhile.  :(

Sparkle & Soul has just made the change from WordPress to Blogger. Yayy!  I feel Blogger is more user friendly and connected to all my other Google products I already use. 

Over the next few weeks and months I would like to acquire my own domain name so I can drop that pesky "blogspot" along with updating the site's layout.  Something new & fresh. 

I haven't posted since November, crazy I know.  I fell in a rut and I'm not sure I'm out of it but I am ready to come back.  I love writing here, even if I'm not the best and I also love all my followers on this blog, Instagram & Facebook.  No doubt that social media is a lot easier to keep up with (go check me on Insta' to see what I've been up to) than the blog but I feel like I'm letting readers down by not posting and I don't want to do that. 

My rut stems from not being able to find a way to produce usable and fresh content.  I follow A LOT of other blogs that I love, don't get me wrong, but one thing that kinda drives me nuts is a lot of content is the same especially at certain times (holidays, new year, sale times).  I know as a reader I don't want to go to ten blogs and see pretty much the same content. 

So my goal other than to get this blog looking much better is to bring you the best & freshest content I can!  That may mean I don't post daily or even weekly (although my goal is at least once a week) but I hope you stick with me and enjoy!

Thanksgiving

I thought it might be fun to pair up fashion with thanksgiving table settings.  A little turkey day inspiration.  Just because you are going stuff your face doesn't mean the you and the table can't look good in the process.

Beer Tasting Party

When I think of Fall, I think of sweaters, apple picking, pumpkin carving and new boots.  When my husband thinks of Fall he thinks of mainly football with mostly beer.  Can anyone feel the pain with me?  Now I wouldn't suggest this on Sunday or Monday or Thursday (all football nights for the ladies who share in my pain) but a Saturday is fair game for a Beer Tasting Party!

When I saw the new line out at Target with Wit & Delight I knew their products would be the perfect pieces for a fall beer tasting party.  Just add some burgers, pretzels and of course the beer and you're good to go!

The line has everything you need and more including a bottle opener, beverage tub, tasting sheets and flight plan plus for good measure some fun pencils & napkins.  I also LOVE the chalkboard paper which could be used to display your yummy food!

It's on my weekend agenda to grab a few of these items before they are all gone!  Do you have any Fall themed parties planned this season?

Insta Life

Happy Monday!!  I wanted to share a bit of what's been happening on IG lately.

Both of these sleeveless tops are from Express and I lived in them all summer!!  They are perfect and will also work into fall.

On September 14th we celebrated our one year wedding anniversary.  It was pretty low key as we are finally going on our honeymoon to Jamaica (in 8 days!!).  Our bakery provided us a small cake which was delicious and we headed into Boston for dinner & drinks, which of course led to a pit stop at Georgetown Cupcakes.  If you've never been to Georgetown, run there now!  They are amazzzing!  As for gifts (we stuck with the traditional paper) I bought him an art piece of handrawn sheet music of our wedding song.  It came out amazing!  You can always count on Etsy!  He of course outdid himself getting me a gift certificate for a mani/pedi, gift certificate for a facial and massage and tickets to see a cover band that we used at our wedding!  So sweet!!

These leopard flats were a new fall purchase and they are so comfy and such a steal!  Target does it again!

Recent blooms.  Sidenote - I actually work as a Lead Event Coordinator now for Blissful Events here in RI.  I am LOVING every minute of it and one awesome perk is taking home beautiful florals (purple & white).

FALLing for Booties

Like that little pun there?  Seemed appropriate to talk about booties on this chilly first day of Fall.  Evvvery year I say I will buy booties.  I really love the look, when done right however I never can seem to find the pair.  I rounded up a few of my favorites along with some inspiration.
